| She's a nose for jewelry: The trinket maker who makes her charms using PET NOSTRIL imprints |
|
"Our loving relationship with cats and dogs is not be sniffed at and now owners can commission and wear an original and quirky tribute to their favourite pet at all times."
Jackie Kaufman asks owners to send her molds of their poochs' nose or paws so she can make them into fashionable jewelry and accessories. Using solid silver she turns these impressions it into a necklace, ring or even a belt buckle.
"Our jewelry is all about standing out with fresh and unique designs! We use the antique method of lost wax casting with sterling silver and 14KT gold. Each piece is carved by hand from a piece of wax then cast. We don't use molds, so each one is really "one of a kind". We handmelt, in our studio only the finest "recycled" sterling silver. Philadelphia, PA (June 17, 2011) - Fine art photographer, patriot and pet-lover, Stacey P. Morgan will launch a series of “PAWtriotic” greeting cards and a 2012 calendar on the 10th Anniversary of the September 11 tragedy.
The cards feature Ms. Morgan’s 10-year-old dog, Delta, photographed saluting the American Flag at various historical locations. A portion of the proceeds will benefit America’s VetDogs, www.VetDogs.org, a national non-profit based in Smithtown, NY. VetDogs.org trains and partners assistance dogs to veterans with disabilities and active service members free of charge. These dogs perform tasks such as balance and retrieval, support for PTSD and traumatic brain injury, as well as seizure alert to name a few.

| Custom dog paintings by Alli Bell! |
|
“Custom dog paintings. Have your favorite four-legged friend painted on canvas all from a photograph.
Turn Fluffy into a master"pooch"piece!”
Alli Berglund is a Tampa based artist and owner of "dogs. paint. art.".
After receiving her Bachelors in Art from the University of Central Florida, Alli worked in the scenic art industry for a number of years. Having the opportunity to explore the scenic world in Orlando, the only appropriate step would be to high-tail it to LA and pursue the world of film production.
Six years of Los Angeles action gave her exposure to many creative avenues, many of which she proudly displays on her resume. Presently back in Tampa, Alli is focusing on a new line of work with man's best friend.
Combining two of her loves, dogs & art, she's able to create great work and give back to the community, hopefully helping to find loving homes for so many dogs & cats that are in need.
Her success today can be attributed to her knowledgeable experiences wor [ … ] |

The End of April is Goin to the DOGS!
and Johnna Guzman and Hendrickje Ewen, Barkin HeARTs' founders could not be more thrilled.
After a successful Alice in Wonderland-themed fundraising event in 2010, Johnna and Carrollwood resident Hendrickje are venturing into Wonderland once last time on April 29 to raise money for SPCA Tampa Bay before retiring the theme.
Just 33 days from inception to completion, 2010 Wonderland, anticipating only 250 visitors, brought over 500 guests and raised approximately $5,000 for Dogma Pet Rescue.
With more time for planning, this year’s Return to [ … ] |
